Off the back of Aaron’s revelation that he and Rory used to date, David wants to find out more about Rory. He persuades Amy to accompany him to a yoga class, where he finds Rory is popular and well liked – and Rory reveals that Aaron asked him to keep their dating history a secret. David goes to confront Aaron about this – only to discover that Rory has asked Aaron to help with an audition for an important gig. David doesn’t like it but as Aaron feels guilty over Rory’s injury and for the fact that Rough Trade has never done as well without him, David feels as though he has to go along with it.
Gary confronts Terese about her not telling him Xanthe and Ben slept together. She defends herself saying that she needed to respect Xanthe’s confidence and he shouldn’t worry – Xanthe is being responsible. Gary goes to see Xanthe and, still bothered, tells her Ben can’t stay overnight because it will upset Sheila. Gary then chats to Elly to see what the Kennedy policy on this is; she’s supportive of the teens and thinks a location ban won’t help because they will find other places to go. Gary refuses to believe this, until he sees Xanthe and Ben entering the hotel elevator, going up to a room. He barges into a room and berates Xanthe for disrespectful behaviour… only to find out he’s got the wrong room and has terrified Levi, the person Shane was going to meet.
Shane is feeling useless when he can’t help Yashvi and Kirsha wash the car. This feeling is ramped up when he drops things at Harold’s. Mishti urges him to be more positive, so he follows up with Amy about his generator, and while she says the Flame Tree can’t buy one at this stage, she tells him of an entrepreneur, Levi, who might be interested. Shane tees up a meeting and is excited – this could turn things around for him.
