Monday 30th September
After agreeing to go on a date with Callum, Ben begins to wonder if it’s a good idea after both Ian and Jay comment on his history with men. At The Arches, and after doing a dodgy deal, things get worse for Ben when Stuart arrives and pleads with him not to hurt Callum. Despite his doubts Ben meets Callum but Callum is gutted when Jay and Lola arrive too. During the date Ben makes no effort at all and Callum plans to leave.
Fed up of her mum fussing about University, Bex finds the perfect distraction – arranging a baby shower for Louise. As the shower gets underway, Bex is annoyed when Mel takes over and as everyone gets stuck in, Lisa notices how distant Bex is. Ian soon arrives and a confused Bex is surprised to learn that Sonia has asked him for a loan to help with University costs. Alone, it’s clear Bex isn’t coping and when Lisa tries to get her to talk, Bex is quick to deflect.
Denise worries having not heard from Ted, and after cornering Bernadette, who has a message from him, Denise confronts Sheree, convinced Wanda is out for what she can get.
Elsewhere, Mel continues to pressurise Sharon into getting her a villa in Portugal but when Sharon broaches the idea of a holiday to Portugal with Phil, he’s adamant it’s not an option. However, Dennis manages to persuade Phil. Meanwhile, Jean supports Daniel at his hospital appointment leaving him touched.
Tuesday 1st October
Stuart is secretly pleased that Ben and Callum’s date didn’t go to plan, however, his mood switches when he gets a surprise visitor – Jonno. Despite being warned to leave, Jonno spots Callum on the Square and as things escalate quickly between father and son.
Meanwhile, after discovering Stuart meddled with his date, Callum tries to explain to Ben but doesn’t get the response he was after. Lola offers Callum some advice leading him to seek out Ben at The Vic and declare that he wants Ben to go on another date. However, Callum is surprised by Ben’s response. Jonno soon arrives and learns the wedding was cancelled but despite everyone trying to cover, Callum stands up to his dad.
Lisa quizzes Louise about Bex and unsatisfied with her response, later speaks to Sonia. Meanwhile, Bex continues to struggle at the thought of leaving Walford and reminisces about Shakil.
Elsewhere, Jack’s feels out of his depth at his first day back with the police and Denise obsessing over Sheree and Patrick proves to be the final straw. Jean attempts to keep Daniel’s spirits up and when she suggests he makes a bucket list, Daniel gives in. Ben continues with his dodgy money lending scheme but his interest is piqued when his friend ‘Tubbs’ reveals they have a new ‘customer’ on the Square.
Thursday 3rd October
Whitney is chuffed to get a text form Leo and things get even better when her and Callum begin to build a friendship. Later, Whitney meets Leo and sparks fly but Whitney is clueless as to who Leo really is and his connection to her past.
Its Bex’s last day in Walford and after discovering that Sonia’s arranged a surprise party, Bex reluctantly agrees to go. Stuart wishes Bex good luck but they’re interrupted by Dot’s surprise return and she’s not alone, Dotty, her granddaughter, arrives with her. As Dot updates everyone, Tiffany is instantly wary when she learns Dotty will be staying in Walford. Later, Bex pretends to enjoy herself at The Vic but sensing she’s not okay, Lisa urges Bex to tell her mum how she feels. Bex brushes Lisa off before making a speech and sneaking off. At home, all the pressure Bex has felt over the past months proves too much and unable to cope with the thought of leaving Walford, Bex is thinking the unthinkable. With the party in full swing, unbeknownst to everyone, Bex is planning to take her own life. The next day, Lisa urges Louise to call Bex as a shocked Sonia finds Bex unresponsive in bed.
Meanwhile, Jean helps Daniel complete his bucket list, but when he meets an old friend to settle old scores, things don’t go to plan. Elsewhere, Linda continues to try and impress the school mums and Mel piles the pressure on Sharon.
Friday 4th October
The paramedics arrive at Dot’s and as Bex is taken away in an ambulance, a stunned Louise watches on as Lisa is clearly wracked with guilt. With everyone distraught, Dotty doesn’t help matters when she mentions the pills found in Bex’s room, leaving Louise shocked. At the hospital, Sonia, Tiffany and Whitney are relieved when Bex wakes up with Sonia immediately reassuring her. Back on the Square, Stuart finds the note Bex left but when he shows it to Sonia, she’s furious, adamant it was an accident. Later, Sonia admits to Stuart that she blames herself for what Bex did. Later, Max tries to reassure Sonia and asks if Martin knows but she’s livid at Martin for not answering her calls.
Meanwhile, the Slaters remind Kush that Walford’s not safe for Martin but he’s adamant Martin needs to know. Daniel soon arrives and quickly puts his foot in it leading Jean to give him some home truths. However, Jean isn’t prepared for what Daniel says.
Sharon is in turmoil, desperate to meet Mel’s demands to protect her secret. Mel refuses to back down.
Ben’s dodgy dealings catch up with him when Jags and Kheerat arrive in Walford and threaten him – Ben stole Kheerat’s car. Elsewhere, after a rocky start, Linda makes progress with the other school mums.
