The halfway point has been reached and the latest exit has been revealed as Viscountess Emma Weymouth.
This weekend nine remaining celebrity couples took to the dance floor to perform an array of live glittering ballroom and Latin routines, watched closely by our judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Bruno Tonoili.
The judges’ scores were combined with the results of the viewers’ votes to decide the lowest scoring two couples facing the dance off. This week that was Mike Bushell and his partner Katya Jones and Viscountess Emma Weymouth and her partner Aljaž Škorjanec.
Both couples performed their routines again, Mike and Katya performed their Charleston to Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines by Ron Goodwin Orchestra and Viscountess Emma Weymouth and her partner Aljaž Škorjanec performed their Samba to Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber’s I Don’t Care in a bid to impress the judges and remain in the competition.
After both couples had danced a second time the judges delivered their verdicts with aunaimous choice to save Mike & Katya.

When asked by Tess about her time on the show, Emma said: “I’ve loved this more than anything I’ve done in my entire life. I’m going to be forever grateful to you for working so hard, you’ve been so patient with me and teaching me everything. Thank you, I want to be friends forever because you’re just amazing. I never wanted to let you down, I’m just heartbroken.”
Aljaz said: “You never ever let me down from the first day of rehearsals when I walked in. I’m the only professional to have danced with an actual lady on Strictly Come Dancing. From day one in rehearsals, your dedication, to go from a non-performer, non-dancer, to achieve what you achieved on this show, I’m lucky it was me that taught you how to dance. Thank you so much for every single second in rehearsals. On that dancefloor you surprised me positively every single week. Thank you so much.”
Emma & Aljaz will appear live on Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two on the sofa with Rylan Clark-Neal for their first interview live on Monday 4th October from 6.30pm on BBC Two.
