This weekend eight remaining celebrity couples took to the dance floor to perform an array of live glittering ballroom and Latin routines, watched closely by our judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Bruno Tonoili.
The judges’ scores were combined with the results of the viewers’ votes to decide the lowest scoring two couples facing the dance off. This week that was Mike Bushell and his partner Katya Jones and Michelle Visage and her partner Giovanni Pernice.

Both couples performed their routines again, Mike and Katya performed their Paso Doble to Tamacun by Rodrigo y Gabriela and Michelle and Giovanni performed their American Smooth to I Just Want To Make Love To You by Etta James in a bid to impress the judges and remain in the competition.
After both couples had danced a second time the judges delivered their verdicts.
All the judges opted to save Michelle and Giovanni knocking Mike Bushell and Katya Jones out of the competion.

When asked by Tess about his time on the show, Mike said: “I didn’t think I’d get this far so I have already booked a hotel in Blackpool, so I’m still coming along. This amazing teacher, Katya, I can’t tell you the dedication that she puts in. She’d make the greatest sporting coach ever, she makes you believe that anything is possible. She hasn’t taken it easy on me. We’ve had some difficult routines and I can’t believe the miracles you’ve performed. There’s so many memories.”
The remaining seven couples will take to the dancefloor next week when Strictly Come Dancing returns for the Blackpool special on Saturday 16th November at 7.05pm
