This week in Shieldinch… a panicked Scarlett worries about the custody battle against Kelly-Marie as the court date looms; Lou’s desperation for quick cash leads her down a dark path; and Sonny nervously faces a tough test to get much-needed help with his arthritis.

Scarlett urges Kelly-Marie to fight fair when they head to court for the custody of Callum and Michaela, but her defiant daughter refuses – she wants her kids back and will do whatever it takes. Kelly-Marie tells her shocked mother she knows she slapped Callum and plans to use it in court to win custody.

In panic, Scarlett goes through Kelly-Marie’s stuff, and stumbles across a diary which could weaken her daughter’s case for custody.

Meanwhile, Lenny realises Callum is anxious about his future urges him to speak up before it’s too late.

Elsewhere, strapped for cash and facing eviction, Lou desperately looks for work. Rory offers her a job but Lou is immediately suspicious of his motives and declines. However, Rory isn’t about to take no for an answer and uses Dylan to make sure he gets Lou on side.

Sonny’s worried about his benefits assessment, fearing his arthritis diagnosis won’t be enough. Caitlin encourages to exaggerate his symptoms in order to get the benefits he needs and not let pride stand in his way. Buoyed by Caitlin’s advice Sonny pulls out all the stops – but the assessment doesn’t go according to plan and things take a turn for the worse.
