With Tony Hutchinson the shows longest character from 1995, the 25th anniversary seems the perfect time to expand on his history a bit and bring in his family.
Enter Verity Hutchinson who is played by Eva O’Hara.
She arrives to the Hollyoaks village hoping to establish her own law firm. She is a captivating, persuasive and sharp-witted character, and has the ability to manipulate any situation to suit her agenda. She is very hard-working, and strives to be successful.

Talking about her new role, Eva said “I have been totally bowled over by the wonderful team at Hollyoaks. I have fallen in love with the warmth and passion of everyone involved, and feel utterly blessed to be involved in such a creative environment.”
Viewers will first get a glimpse of the new Hutchinson when she arrives in January for Hollyoaks Later.
The Brand New Hollyoaks airs on E4 at 9PM on Monday 6th January.
Also joining an ever expanding cast is Connor Calland who will play Sid’s older cousin, Jordan.
First appearing during the special flash-forward episode at the end of the year Jordan quickly becomes involved with the Lomax family.
Jordan has been living a life of crime for the past few years, by involving himself in the drugs trade. Now higher up, he targets, manipulates and exploits vulnerable teenagers to sell drugs for him.
Talking about his new role, Connor said “I’m really excited to come into the Hollyoaks village and work with the loveliest, and most talented, bunch of people; even more so, coming in with such a hard hitting and relevant storyline.”
