Tonight, Ros na Rún lost long-time resident as Frances (Áine Máire Ní Óráin) died after sustaining injuries in an attack.
This brings to an end Áine’s time on the show, having played Frances since 2007.
Frances has been through a turbelent time in Ros na Rún having married Tadhg. Her heart was broken just a couple of years ago when he walked out on her for childhood sweetheart, Maggie.
The Gardaí are hunting an, as yet unknown, attacker and Tadhg is in the firing line as he tries, without much luck, to prove his innocence.

Next week Áine struggles with her mothers death and questions why the body has not been released from the morgue. Tadhg, wanting to protect his daughter, does not want to tell Áine that Frances death is being investigated. Will Tadhg regret this decision?
Also, O’Shea, believing Andy had to be responsible for Frances’s death is keen to arrest him, much to the Chief Superintendent’s dismay. Will the Chief Super pull O’Shea off the case?
