Ruhma encounters a reluctant mother and her complicated family.

Ruhma meets irresponsible and care free Mariah Birtelle in reception at St Phil’s. She’s in denial that she’s pregnant and insists that she’s just got a stomach ache, until her water’s break.

An exuberant Al surprises Sid and Valerie with his joy, but he ends up explaining to Sid that his joy is actually due to the fact that Lily is no longer working at The Mill and he explains that their engagement was a mistake.

Daniel has to deal with a counter fraud investigator who has his sights on ghost patients.

At The Campus and Karen are surprised by the arrival of Charles Keegan. He’s an overzealous counter fraud officer who has been tasked with investigating how many ghost patients are on The Mill’s books.

Lily asks Al to come home at lunchtime. Al reluctantly arrives home to a table full of food. Before he has time to ask what’s going on the doorbell rings, it’s Terry Walker and Susan Walker, Lily’s parents.

Karen is in pain but can’t get an appointment at her GP surgery and fails in all her attempts to get The Mill staff to treat her.

At The Mill Emma has a go at Zara for causing unnecessary hurt and they argue until Aashiq turns up to grovel at Emma’s feet.
