Squeamish Nate sets himself gory tests to ready himself for being at the birth but with Moira and Cain going for a night away, Tracy tells Nate they are looking after Kyle and Isaac for the night. Apprehensive Nate feels the pressure, worried how Cain would react if something happened to one of his kids.
As Cain drops off the kids belongings, Nate is clearly pleased to be trusted. Cain’s about to head off to meet Moira at the hotel, but when they see Tracy doubled up in pain, they rush to help. Tracy’s in denial convinced it’s Braxton Hicks but her waters break. Cain goes to get his car leaving Nate and Tracy in a tailspin of panic.
Soon they arrive at the hospital and Tracy is taken off to the labour ward. As her contractions continue, the midwife reassures Tracy everything’s progressing as it should. Unsure how to help, Nate’s overwhelmed and heads out finding Cain in the corridor. Father and son have a heartwarming bonding conversation.
Strengthened by his advice, Nate rushes back to Tracy for the final stages of her labour. As she gives birth, he takes his daughter in his hands, bursting with pride.
