Al is keen to try out his new game app on the team, and Karen proves surprisingly enthusiastic.

Emma is challenged when a stabbing leads to an internal police investigation.

Al arrives beaming at the Mill, and promises Karen a cure for her boredom. Valerie arrives late and out of sorts – she’s got a sore throat. Sid, Karen and Jimmi discuss the charity car wash before Al proudly launches the quiz app he has developed. Reluctantly he offers a cash prize in return for their feedback, and is delighted to see they are hooked as they start to play.

Rob takes charge after two officers have been involved in a stabbing, leaving a man badly injured. Rob tells Sgt Dave Conroy, an experienced officer, and PC Marc Wilcox, a probationer, that there will be an investigation by the IOPC. Rob sympathises grimly with Dave that this has happened the week before he retires.
