In true Dingle style they look after their own and that is true this week when Samson wants payback for Lydia and packs a crowbar in his schoolbag.

Despite Sam and Samson’s best efforts, Lydia sees what’s been posted about her online and she’s heartbroken by it. The next day when a brick is thrown through their window, protective Samson is worried about leaving Lydia alone. He urges her to call the police about the harassment but Sam wants to settle this the Dingle way. Lydia won’t condone violence and assures Sam she can manage a solo trip to the police station to report the harassment.

When she does leave the Dingles’, Lydia is robbed outside her front door by a pair of lads out for revenge about the pension scam. Samson happens upon Lydia’s mugging but doesn’t intervene but we see that Samson recognised them. When Sam turns up he chases the lads away. Samson’s upset he didn’t protect Lydia.

Back inside the house, Sam’s fuming about what happened to Lydia and puzzled as to why Samson isn’t equally fired-up for revenge. Samson finds himself caught between Sam’s desire for violent revenge and Lydia’s hope for no more trouble.

When Sam takes Lydia to the police station to make a report, he puts a crowbar into his school bag; he’s after payback for Lydia…
