Tonight in Shieldinch… faced with a murder investigation, Alex asks Tyler for a favour; Lou is optimistic after spending more time with Amber, but heartbreak awaits; and Stevie is frustrated with Sam as they clash over the family business.
Concerned that Nicole and Tyler’s closeness will arouse suspicion, Alex warns the couple that the police are breathing down his neck.
Tyler takes on board Alex’s comments, and suggests that he and Nicole keep their distance for now. A heartbroken Nicole isn’t convinced, but concedes that it’s the right thing to do.
At Amber Cabs, Alex suggests Tyler should be the one to seek out McTavish, as DCI Shaw is watching him closely. Tyler reluctantly agrees on the condition that it’s a one-off favour. However, when the truth about who started the fire is revealed, Alex is stunned to discover connections to his past.
It’s the morning after the night before for Amber and Lou. Their happiness is cut short after Amber listens to a tense voicemail from Alex.
A nosey Mikey gets the lowdown on what’s going on between Lou and Amber, encouraging his flatmate to follow her heart. However, Lou’s dinner date suggestion isn’t warmly received by Amber, who makes it clear they’re not a couple, just friends with benefits.
Elsewhere, Sam and Stevie commence their first official business as talent agency, Spiller And Son. But their search for local talent falls short, with Sam blaming Stevie’s negativity for putting people off.
