Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) is left unnerved by Daniel’s (Rob Mallard) mention of ex Bethany Platt in upcoming Corrie scenes as a magazine article written by her leaves him inspired to get back into writing again.
However, Daisy is given more to be concerned about when she later reveals she has found a lump in her breast. Taking advice from Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews), she tells a shaken Daniel who insists he’ll accompany her to the doctors.
Daniel tries his best to hide how he is really feeling while promising Daisy that he’ll meet and support her at the medical center. Jenny is far from impressed to find him knocking back drinks in the Rovers having let Daisy down. Announcing that Daisy might have cancer, Daniel staggers out.
Peter (Chris Gascoyne) persuades him that alcohol isn’t the answer and Daisy needs him by her side offering support. As Daisy attends her appointment alone, they’re interrupted when Daniel throws open the door and staggers in drunk.
With Daniel set to propose to Daisy amid the drama of a robbery over the Christmas period will this couple face happiness or heartbreak ahead?
