Monday 19th December 2022

It’s baby Esther’s Christening and Amelia is touched by Noah’s support. Lydia’s disappointed when Samson refuses to accompany her. Chloe and Amy are confrontational around Chas and Charity and soon rub Charity up the wrong way when they argue. When Chloe and Amy arrive at the Christening at Chas’ invitation, Charity is less than impressed. As Charles begins Esther’s christening at the church, Charity’s feud with Amy threatens to put the service in jeopardy. The Christening is derailed when Charity and Amy can’t refrain from arguing and soon it gets physical and PC Swirling witnesses the debacle. Before long Amy and Charity give their statements to PC Swirling, he places Charity under arrest.

Marcus is alarmed to hear Greg is coming for lunch and makes an excuse. Later Marcus has a change of heart and joins him but could he regret this?

With escalating money worries David makes a big decision.

Tuesday 20th December 2022

The next day, Amy nurses a bruised wrist from her run in with Charity and Chloe conflicted about how things escalated. Having been released from prison pending further investigation, Charity puts on a strong front to Mackenzie. Mack attempts to coerce Chloe into changing her statement. And Chloe attempts to get Amy to see reason in regards to her false police statement worried Charity could go to prison..Amy suggests she once again moves out. 

Chas knows she has to have a chat with Eve about why she and Paddy aren’t living together. Whilst Paddy thanks Marlon for being there for him. Later, Chas visits Paddy to discuss what they’re going to tell Eve. But she is soon thrown when Paddy suggests she be the one to move out. Eaten up by anger Paddy blames Chas which leaves her reeling. Can Paddy and Chas come to an agreement? 

Ethan and Marcus continue looking for their own place.

Wednesday 21st December 2022

Chloe knows she now has nowhere to live over Christmas and Nate becomes increasingly suspicious on seeing Mackenzie’s reaction when Chloe leaves. Will Nate put two and two together and figure out Mackenzie is the father of Chloe’s baby? Before long, Chloe lies to Amy that she’s got a place to stay. The next day, Amy feels bad for kicking out Chloe. 

Later, Ethan and Marcus continue looking for their own place. Amelia suggests they buy Harriet’s house. And despite it being out of their budget, Ethan convinces Marcus to put a bid in for it. Soon their excitement is dashed 

Thursday 22nd December 2022

During the carol concert Paddy and Chas argue again and as it becomes more audible, Charles instructs the choir to sing louder to drown it out. The next day, when Chas arrives, Paddy tells her she can’t just see Eve whenever she wants. Chas tries to plead with Paddy to spend Christmas morning with Eve but Paddy shuts down the idea immediately. Chas spots a card addressed to her with Faith’s handwriting on. She’s shaken to the core; not sure how much more heartache she can take. Inside, Marlon reminds Paddy even though he’s mad at Chas, Eve still needs her Mum. Can Paddy and Chas come to a truce for Eve’s sake?

Nate’s gutted to learn that he won’t see Frankie until New Year. 

Chloe informs Sarah that she’s leaving the village for good. When Mackenzie comes in and hears of the news, Chloe holds out hope that he’ll want her to stay. Back at Keepers, Chloe’s hopes are dashed when she realises Mackenzie isn’t going to try and get her to stay.

Charles’ choir event is raising money for a stroke charity. At the village hall, the members of the choir begin singing as everyone enjoys the music, food & drink.

Moira and Amy discuss bringing Kyle and Isaac to the choir event as Amy worries about letting Kyle out of her sight. At the village hall, Moira and Amy arrive with Kyle and Isaac and get into the festive spirit. Amy and Moira manage to lose sight of Kyle and see him speaking to PC Swirling about Cain. They swoop in before anything is revealed but PC Swirling catches on that there’s something between Amy and Moira; and he is troubled by their behaviour. Back at Butlers, Amy and Moira try to find out what Kyle revealed to PC Swirling but only end up further upsetting him. Moira tries to reassure Amy that if she gives Kyle the best ever Christmas it will help with returning his life back to normal. But as Amy struggles to pull herself together; the pressure also begins to mount on Moira.

It’s an emotional time as Sam and Lydia are heart broken when Rhona informs them their last pig will have to be put down.

Friday 23rd December 2022

In his prison cell, a prison officer hands Cain some letters. Once the prison officer is out of sight, Cain stares at the letter for a moment then rips it up. Meanwhile, at Butlers, Isaac and Kyle receive two Christmas presents from an unknown person. Moira’s curious to know who sent the presents and visits Cain in prison in order to find out where the mysterious presents came from. Cain hides his concern. Moira informs Cain she’s left Faith’s Christmas card to him with the guard. Later, as the guard enters Cain’s cell, he hands Cain Faith’s letter. Cain ignores it, not ready for its contents. Cain asks for a phone call but he’s left on edge when the guard tells him he’ll see what he can do. At home, Moira watches Kyle play, daring to hope they can have a relatively normal Christmas. In the prison corridor, Cain is on the phone to a mysterious person. The prison officer looks over at Cain who lowers his voice. Hearing the refusal from the person on the phone, Cain slams down the phone.

Jimmy invites Liam to spend Christmas with him and Nicola given he will be spending it alone. While Leyla hides she will be alone this Christmas. Rishi also invites Liam to spend Christmas and Liam wonders if he’s bitten off more than he can chew. 

Manpreet’s determined to make this a Christmas to remember.
