David and Pollard are terrified when Leyla reveals she’s put Jacob in serious danger with Callum (he threatened him last week) and are desperately worried for Jacob’s safety when they can only reach his voicemail. Everyone’s relieved when Jacob bounds into the shop and Leyla confesses she provoked Callum so David takes Jacob to stay with Pollard. Meanwhile, Suzy has a plan to take down Callum by smearing him as a grass to his criminal associates. Before long, outside Take a Vow, Callum appears and attacks Suzy with a brick. Meanwhile, Leyla tries to call Suzy oblivious to her friend’s peril. Suzy’s lifeless body lies unconscious before Mary finds her and urgently calls for an ambulance.
Marshall is grateful for Jai and Laurel taking him in. But defeated to hear Hotten Academy can’t accept him back without his dad’s approval. But soon Colin, agrees to Marshall returning to Hotten Academy, although Laurel and Jai fear it may only be because he wants his abuse of Marshall to be kept quiet. Later on, when Jai opens up to Laurel about his fears of the impact on their family of them taking on Marshall, he doesn’t know that devastated Marshall is listening to the conversation on the stairs.
Amy and Matty are delighted to break the news of their engagement in the Hide to a somewhat thrown Victoria. Before long Victoria opens up to Amy and Matty, revealing an encounter with a man on her night out triggered her past trauma over her rapist Lee. Ethan keeps an eye on her advising her to move on from last night and find someone new.
Marlon hopes a walk around the village with Paddy is a good sign. When Liam suggests another meeting of ‘man club’, Paddy’s unsure if he’s up to it but promises to do his best to make it; Marlon’s relieved.
Tuesday 14th March 2023

With Suzy unconscious in a hospital bed, Leyla’s guilt grows. Later, Leyla’s angered when the police advise her Callum has an alibi for the attack on Suzy and they have no evidence to place him at the scene. Leyla’s relieved but fearful when a nurse advises her Suzy is awake. From her hospital bed Suzy is terrified to hear from Leyla how Callum is still at large and fears that he could come back and finish the job. The pressure on Leyla only increases when she starts receiving threatening messages from Callum. Later, Caleb finds Leyla sobbing in the graveyard as she makes the decision to confide in him. Caleb advises Leyla to play to win with Callum. She takes him at his word and messages her adversary to arrange a meet. Dicing with danger Leyla meets Callum but things escalate and Leyla ends up being kidnapped by Callum.
The next day, Colin appears, asking to see Marshall, Jai and Laurel are unconvinced by his apparent change of heart and only agree he can see his son if Marshall gives his consent. Marshall’s wrong-footed by his caring approach when Colin tries to convince Marshall he’s sorry for disowning him over his sexuality. When his dad says he loves him and tells him it’s time to come home, Marshall is shaken by the request. Colin does his best to manipulate him into coming home.
Charles fails to convince Naomi to see sense over Alex and admits to Manpreet it’s painful to watch Naomi risk her future. Manpreet tells Charles he needs to give Alex a real chance and to only judge him if he lets Naomi down.
Bear realises that his anxiety over his son’s mental health is becoming oppressive to Paddy.
Wednesday 15th March 2023

Soon she is bound and gagged as a threatening Callum looms. Meanwhile, home and safe, oblivious Suzy’s annoyed Leyla never showed up to pick her up from the hospital, but when she finds out Leyla’s missing and not answering her phone she and the family are filled with dread..
The next day Marshall’s confused as his dad continues to love bomb him with messages.
Brenda reminds Bob not to let B&B interfere with his responsibilities to Cathy. But a distracted Bob fails to pick up on Cathy’s behaviour.
Soon Charles encourages Alex to go for a job interview. Naomi’s delight at Alex getting the job turns to despair when she hears it’s in Wales. But as an ex-offender, Alex feels he has no choice but to go for it.

Before long Alex is having second thoughts about taking it but Charles talks him round. After Alex leaves, Charles puts his foot in it with Naomi
When the ‘Man Club’ reconvene Jimmy opens up and gives Rodney food for thought.

The kids are off to a gig but Cathy has no intention of being chaperoned by Wendy so puts her plan into action. The teenagers and April are concerned by Cathy’s reckless behaviour. When she puts her own life in danger and Bob realises she needs proper help.
Paddy makes a decision regarding his future but it’s clear he’s still struggling, and Alex makes an effort.
Emmerdale airs at weeknights on ITV1 at 7:30pm
