Love’s young dream came to an end tonight for Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) and Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) as he finally saw he was holding back of chance of being truly happy and wished her well as she left life in Coronation Street behind her, bringing an end to 12 years on the cobbles for Ellie Leach.
Faye and Craig have always been close since their early days on the street and a desperate Craig tried to hold onto what they had after learning of her kiss with Jackson. However, his desperation turned to blackmail over last years hit &run and Faye stayed with him rather than risk another spell in prison.
Faye was clearly upset after saying her goodbyes to Miley and Jackson and it was at this point Craig tried to make her see that one day she could regret not taking the oppitunity to go and live with her daughter. Craig didn’t want Faye to settle for second best and gave her a choice go and be with Miley and Jackson if she so wished.
Craig knew he would never compete and make her happy so apologised for everything he said and did wrong.
Faye later caught up with Miley and Jackson as well as Gary before saying her goodbyes.
‘I love you and I always will.. thank you everything Craig Tinker, I wouldn’t be the person I am without you’, annouced Faye before departing forever.
