Marlon Dingle finds himself at his wit’s end due to Gail’s ongoing incompetence in the kitchen. Despite Marlon’s pleas to Charity, who runs the establishment, he is ignored when he suggests letting Gail go.
Meanwhile, Amelia, Marlon’s daughter, warns Dan not to make matters worse. However, Dan disregards her advice and decides to visit the hospital to check on Lloyd, whose condition has been a cause of concern. Little does Dan know that his actions will have unintended consequences.
At the hospital, Dan unexpectedly encounters Julie, Lloyd’s wife. In an attempt to hide his fears, Dan puts on a brave face in front of Amelia. Unfortunately, this visit to the hospital ends up negatively impacting Dan’s situation as the police take him in for further questioning.
Upon arriving at the police station, Dan quickly realizes that his hospital visit has cast doubt on his case. To his surprise, DS Giles reveals that they have found no evidence on Lloyd’s devices that suggests any wrongdoing on his part. However, this revelation leaves Dan unsettled, and his anxiety intensifies when DS Giles challenges him to tell the truth.
In a shocking turn of events, Dan is charged with GBH (Grievous Bodily Harm), leaving him frightened and overwhelmed. Back in the village, Cain, a friend of Dan’s, urges him to gather himself and find strength for the sake of Amelia.
Elsewhere, at the hospital, Dawn is taken aback when she learns that she is already sixteen weeks pregnant. Overwhelmed with emotion, Dawn and Billy share a touching moment as they gaze at their baby for the very first time.

Amelia, in a surprising turn of events, stumbles upon some important documents that expose her father’s recent GBH charge. Distraught and filled with questions, she confronts her dad, hoping for answers about his arrest. However, things take a dark turn as Amelia’s relentless inquiries push him to despair. Seeking solace, Dan finds himself wandering through the woods, drowning his sorrows in a bottle of whisky.
Just when things seem bleak for Dan, his friend David comes across him in the woods. In a heart-to-heart conversation, Dan pours out his frustrations, blaming one foolish mistake for ruining his life and making it impossible for him to take care of Amelia and Esther. Meanwhile, David grapples with his own worries, fearing that Dan could still face a murder charge if Lloyd doesn’t recover. Determined to help his friend, David tries to convince Dan to see reason.
With David’s assistance, Dan is guided back to Dale Head, but the troubles are far from over. Amelia, wanting an honest conversation with her father, musters up the courage to address the situation. However, her hopes are shattered when Dan, under the influence of alcohol, unexpectedly shifts the blame for his GBH charge onto her social media activities. Will Dan come to regret his drunken outburst, and if so, will Amelia find it in her heart to forgive him?
In other Emmerdale news, Charity becomes increasingly unsettled by Gail’s repeated blunders, which seem to be growing in severity. As a result, a difficult decision is made to let Gail go.

Clemmie’s birthday celebration takes an unexpected twist, leaving everyone in shock. As she opens her birthday presents, Clemmie appears subdued and distant. Concerned for her well-being, Dawn and Billy try to comfort her.
During a heartfelt conversation, Clemmie reveals her deepest fear to Dawn and Billy. She expresses that no matter what she wishes for on her birthday, it won’t bring her mother back.
In the midst of this tense situation, Nicky unexpectedly arrives with a card for Clemmie. However, Gabby, who is also present, loses her temper and throws Nicky out. Unfortunately, in the heat of the moment, Gabby accidentally lets slip Dawn’s pregnancy secret to Lucas and Clemmie, causing chaos and confusion to unfold.
As emotions run high at Home Farm, Dawn and Billy struggle to calm Clemmie, who becomes convinced that the arrival of the new baby will lead to her being pushed away from the family. Overwhelmed by her fear and distress, Clemmie’s upset escalates, and in a moment of anger, she pushes a dining stool into Dawn’s stomach. The consequences are devastating as Dawn collapses, leaving Clemmie frozen in horror at her actions.
Realizing the severity of Dawn’s condition, Billy urgently convinces her that they need to rush to the hospital’s A&E. Meanwhile, Clemmie, consumed by terror and guilt, hides herself away, unable to face the aftermath of her impulsive act.
At the hospital, Dawn and Billy’s fears are alleviated when the sonographer confirms that their unborn baby is unharmed. Overwhelmed with relief, they shed tears of joy. However, unbeknownst to them, Clemmie, distraught and unaware of their good news, quietly slips out of Home Farm through the back door, disappearing into the night.
In other news, Jai’s cousin Suni arrives in the village just in time for the upcoming wedding. However, it seems that Suni’s presence catches the attention of Nicky, leading to potential romantic sparks flying between them.

As the trio (Dan, Cain and Paddy) arrives at the cricket pavilion, tensions rise when Cain’s first ball smashes through a window, causing a setback in the match. Amidst the chaos, Vinny seizes the opportunity during a break in play to reassure Dan of their unwavering support. However, things take a downward spiral when Julie makes an appearance at the Woolpack, leaving Dan feeling utterly miserable.
A tough decision is reached regarding Julie’s future, and it is decided that she must be let go. While Marlon feels a sense of relief, knowing that this needs to be done, he is also burdened with the responsibility of delivering the news.
