Tom’s attempt to impress Belle with his new car backfires when she witnesses him offering a ride to a pregnant woman. In an effort to reconcile, Dawn invites Belle, Tom, and Billy on a double date, but tension quickly escalates. As Tom is about to leave for a veterinary call, he is confronted by two criminals who assault him and steal his car. Belle finds Tom after the incident and calls the police.
As guilty Charles packs his bag to go on a retreat, he is glad to be getting away.
