Sophie Khan Levy has been cast in the role of Priya Nandra-Hart in EastEnders. She will play Ravi Gulati’s former partner and the mother of Nugget.
Joining her will be Aaliyah James, a newcomer to television, who will portray their daughter, Avani Nandra-Hart. Priya has been separated from Nugget since her breakup with Ravi, but she has a secret.
She has been raising Avani in secret, without Ravi’s knowledge. Ravi will be in for a big surprise when he discovers the existence of his secret daughter.
Sophie Khan Levy (Priya): ”I’m super excited to be joining the show, and I can’t wait to see what trouble Priya gets herself into! I watched EastEnders when I was growing up, so to see so many familiar faces and to walk onto the set is a dream come true.”
Priya and Avani’s first on-screen appearances will be in October.
