It’s the end of the road for Corrie’s bad boy Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) tonight but there is still a lot of action ahead of his departure, will he meet his maker or is DS Swain (Vicky Myers) finally going to arrest him?

We thought we’d seen the worst of sinister killer Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) but cornered and trapped on the street, this is the moment he turns on those he loves most and we see both Sarah (Tina O’Brien) and Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) fighting for their lives.

Having got rid of Tim and defrauded Underworld, Stephen had made his getaway it seemed and was about to board a flight. But when he realised his passport was missing at the last moment he was forced to return to Weatherfield to confront partner Jenny.

However Jenny’s not alone in the pub, having gone there after hearing intruders. Sarah has also spotted something and enters the boarded up Rovers to investigate.

With the walls closing in on him a desperate Stephen bashes niece Sarah over the head with a bottle, what we then see is a game of cat and mouse as Jenny confronts a haunted Stephen, wanting answers about the crimes he’s committed.

Is Stephen really capable of killing a member of his own family and as he threatens Jenny with a broken bottle, holding her hostage, will either woman make it out of his grasp alive as Stephen makes his bid for freedom?

Speaking to me ahead of his finale Todd Boyce describes this episode as ‘Fluid, Gripping, Shocking’ so there you go, you heard it straight from the killers mouth!
