New location images have emerged of location filming for scenes airing in the new year between Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) and Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) where the pair end up in serious danger after a car crash.
The scenes in questions appear to show Simon giving Sam a lift to school but when he speeds to get him there in time he hits an icy patch he prangs the car.
While Sam and Simon appear to be ok in the aftermath, with Simon retrieving a brown envelope from the wreckage, the car is in less better condition.
Coronation Street airs on ITV1 at 8pm every Monday, Wednesday and Friday
