As Felix talks JJ through the robbery plan, he almost immediately has doubts about getting him involved but JJ insists he can handle it. Felix arranges to have a dinner with Wendy and Andrew that night to say thank you, not telling them it’s also his farewell, as he plans to leave the country after the robbery. When Felix sees JJ bonding with Cara he has a crisis of conscience and lies to JJ that he found someone else to help with the robbery – he doesn’t need JJ. Felix makes a final dinner for Wendy and Andrew, and is clearly sad about leaving the home he has built for himself. The next day, JJ turns up at the robbery anyway, having figured out that Felix was lying. Felix reluctantly agrees to let JJ come with him. Meanwhile, Holly discovers the map of Eirini Rising that has been kept in her book. She thinks it’s strange then does some digging and develops a theory that it might be for Felix’s work. She explains her suspicion to Andrew, who is doubtful, but feels obliged to investigate anyway. Andrew approaches the site, as JJ and Felix have just completed the robbery. Due to a misunderstanding, JJ gets in the van and knocks over some scaffolding, which collapses on Andrew.
Things are still tense between Karl and Melanie after their conversation. When Melanie discovers a newspaper with vacant apartments circled, she becomes convinced Karl wants to kick her out. Krista advises Melanie to combat this by being the perfect housemate. Melanie launches a spring clean offensive, which comically makes things worse. She admits to Karl about her fears and Karl reveals that the newspaper belongs to someone else. He is disappointed over the Toadie situation but he would never turn his back on Melanie or Toadie – they’re family.
Paul pushes Chelsea to get to the bottom of what happened with the sauna. Chelsea delays and stalls, arranging for Cara to fix it but explaining that Penny, the main suspect, is overseas. Paul’s considerate behaviour towards Krista makes Leo soften towards his father and when Paul asks for Leo to move back, Leo will consider this. A delighted Paul tells Chelsea that his family look like getting back together again, and when he mentions that Terese is returning, Chelsea starts to panic…
