In light of Mackenzie’s discoveries, Haz is desperate to prove he can be the person she thought he was, but Mackenzie isn’t sure she can give him that chance. Seeing Mackenzie’s upset, Holly pushes her to tell her what’s really going on with Haz. A torn Mackenzie refrains from revealing the full truth. But Holly remains worried, knowing something big is going on. Haz meanwhile meets up with his former associate ‘Pr0xxy’, accusing him of being his digital assailant. Pr0xxy though says he’s moved on and helps Haz in his quest to find the creator of the deep fakes. They discern this isn’t the work of true professionals, ruling out their old crew. When Haz reports these findings to Mackenzie, he reiterates his vow to make things right. But Mackenzie, remaining at an impasse with Haz, arranges another meet up with his erstwhile victim, Zach…

Melanie and Karl head out for another bike-ride as part of Karl’s health regimen. Partway through, Karl slows to a stop and convinces Melanie to ride on. Unsure of the route, Melanie backtracks and is puzzled to find Karl emerging from a residential driveway looking caught out. Although Karl claims he was washing chain grease off his hands, Melanie is left unconvinced. Later, Wendy shares the gossip of a neighbourhood pooper on the loose. Seeing a map of the offender’s leavings, Melanie notes the uncanny congruity with her and Karl’s cycling route. With creeping dread, she privately recalls the incident of Karl being caught short, before quickly deciding that Karl couldn’t possibly be the poo- cycler… could he? But the seed is planted and fertilized.

As Byron and Sadie revel in coupledom, Nicolette decides to have some fun with them, inviting Sadie to lunch. Wanting Nicolette’s tick of approval, Sadie agrees. Nicolette enjoys herself firing probing personal questions at them, unsettling Sadie, until Sadie decides to ask if Nicolette has dated anyone since Kiri… Air taken out of her sails, Nicolette suddenly becomes wistful and hopes Byron doesn’t mess up the good thing he has going, the way she messed up her own love life. Byron and Sadie decide to interpret this as Nicolette giving her approval to their relationship and Sadie is thrilled to have passed the sibling test.
