George is in a right state and returns to a worried Elaine, Anna and Gina sporting nasty bruises, but his story about thugs just doesn’t add up. Later, a setback leaves George spiralling, and with Elaine refusing to get involved, it’s Cindy who steps in, determined to find out the truth. When George finally opens up to Cindy about the depth of his pain and grief, the former couple share a tender kiss.
Meanwhile, Patrick is trying to understand Denise’s calm demeanor after Jack’s betrayal. He sets up a family dinner with Chelsea and the kids, but things get awkward when Pastor Clayton inserts himself into the gathering. Patrick can’t help but feel jealous of the Pastor’s closeness to Denise and Yolande.
Elsewhere in Walford, Jay is facing a bombshell of his own. After ignoring messages from Nadine, he finally meets up with her, only to be hit with the shocking news that she’s pregnant with his baby! Jay is left reeling from the revelation.
Whitney is under pressure from Lauren to send Britney back to Milton Keynes. But Whitney has other plans, determined to help Britney get a fresh start and back into school.
