Corrie’s Chris Harper is back on the cobbles and reprising his chilling role as Bethany Platt’s abuser Nathan Curtis.
In an interview with the returning actor, Chris revealed his delight at being back in Weatherfield and spoke about the importance of getting the storyline right.
“It was really important as it had such a big effect on me the first time round,” he said.
Chris also spoke about the charities he supports and how he believes Nathan is even more dangerous this time around.
“I really don’t think prison has reformed him in the slightest, in some ways I think he’s even more clever and more manipulative,” he explained.

When asked about Nathan’s motives for returning to Weatherfield, Chris said: “I think he knows it’s inevitable, it’s a small world and they’re going to come across each other. He knows the power is with him, he knows that she’s more frightened of him than he needs to be of her.”
Chris also hinted that Nathan could be involved in Lauren’s murder.
“All the signs are there, the similarities in Lauren’s behaviour before she disappeared, her vulnerability, all really ring bells with what Bethany went through,” he said.
With Nathan set to cause chaos on the cobbles once again, Coronation Street viewers are in for a gripping storyline.
Nathan returns in episodes airing next week on ITV1
