Whitney and Zack’s dream wedding is set to turn into a nightmare next week in EastEnders as a huge secret threatens to tear them apart.

Actor James Farrar has revealed that Zack has been secretly wracked with guilt after sleeping with Lauren Branning, and the truth is finally set to explode in dramatic fashion.

“Having Bianca on his back has probably been the biggest hurdle,” Farrar told revealed. “He realises that having a mum on side is essential.”

He added: “This, combined with all of his insecurities and his inability to deal with emotions, he’s reacted and made probably the biggest mistake of his life.”

Whitney is completely oblivious to Zack’s betrayal, and the couple are initially loved-up as they prepare to tie the knot.

“Dolly is his life, and although he feels like he needs to be with Whitney, which is why he impulsively decides to marry her, Dolly is number one deep down,” Farrar said.

But things start to unravel when Whitney grows suspicious of Britney’s behaviour. Despite her doubts, Whitney decides to go ahead with the wedding as planned.

“I think it’s his get out of jail card,” Farrar explained. “It’s genuinely hard for Zack to go ahead with it without being honest and open to Whitney.”

However, before Zack can get cold feet and come clean, his house of cards comes crashing down when Britney exposes his infidelity to Whitney at the altar.

“There is no one else in the world at that point, apart from Dolly and Whitney,” Farrar said of Zack’s feelings when he sees Whitney walking down the aisle.

“His eyes are just focused on her as she says her vows.”
