Dee-Dee has been working tirelessly to free Roy Cropper, but the weight of the case is starting to take its toll. Recent death threats and mounting pressure from the Street have left the hotshot lawyer questioning her abilities.
“Dee-Dee is really starting to buckle,” revealed Channique Sterling-Brown who plays the struggiling solicitor. “She’s used to high-pressure situations, but this is different. Roy isn’t just a client, she really cares about him. With everyone relying on her, the doubt is starting to creep in.”
Despite facing setbacks, Channique insists Dee-Dee hasn’t given up hope. “She believes in Roy’s innocence. But Bobby’s arrest has thrown a spanner in the works. Now it’s a race against time to find something concrete.”
Channique also hinted at heartbreak for Dee-Dee, who will discover a shocking betrayal. “Carla and Bobby’s secret will cause a lot of frustration. Dee-Dee feels betrayed, especially by Carla after everything she’s been through.”

Adding to the drama, Dee-Dee’s boyfriend Joel will be representing Roy’s accuser, Nathan. “This won’t go down well,” teased the actress. “Dee-Dee has a strong moral compass, and Nathan is key to Roy’s case. Plus, he hurt Bethany, who’s a good friend. Expect some friction between Dee-Dee and Joel!”
Coronation Street continues tomorrow at 8pm on ITV1
