EastEnders heartthrob Bobby Brazier is stepping off the streets of Walford and onto the hallowed turf of Stamford Bridge for Soccer Aid for UNICEF. Here, he talks about his excitement, his dad’s tough training regime, and his dream opponent.
“It’s an amazing opportunity for an amazing charity,” Brazier says. “The scale of the event and the stadium is unbelievable. I can’t stop thinking about the quality of the pitch!”
Brazier, who impressed audiences with his light-footed moves on Strictly Come Dancing, admits his football skills might need a polish. “My moves on Strictly are a little different,” he laughs. “But I’m definitely there to win!”

As for his ideal teammate? “My best friend Clay [Milner], who plays Bobby Beale,” he reveals. “He’d make me look really good!”
Brazier’s father, Jeff, a former West Ham Youth Academy player, is clearly in his element. “Dad’s even more excited than I am,” says Brazier. “He put me through a tough session at the gym recently. He’s a good footballer, and he always coached my teams.”
While Brazier is looking forward to the experience, he admits there’s one opponent he’s both excited about and slightly intimidated by: “To play against Eden Hazard is going to be absolutely incredible,” he says. “But one-on-one, it’ll be a losing battle for me, every time!”
