Emrhys Cooper, a newcomer to the Coronation Street cast, shared his experience of joining the iconic soap opera. In an exclusive interview with Eastieoaks.com, Cooper confessed to feeling “super nervous” due to his lifelong connection with the show.

“I was super nervous having grown up watching it since I was 10 years old,” Cooper admitted. However, his anxieties quickly dissipated upon stepping onto the set. “As soon as I got on set and I felt the energy, actually you know even just being in the makeup, getting my hair and makeup everyone would got me at ease.”

Cooper’s first scene was with Jane Danson (Leanne Battersby) and Sue Devaney (Debbie Webster), who extended a warm welcome to the newcomer. “Jane and Sue who I had my first scene with were so fun and friendly and welcoming I didn’t, you know my nerves kind of went actually so it was a great first day,” Cooper revealed.

Upcoming spoilers have revealed that another local resident could fall victim to Rowan when a taster session for new recruits to The Institute sees Amy Barlow among the attendees.
