Tamara Wall shares her excitement about Grace Black’s comeback and hints at what’s next for the feisty character.

Tamara Wall is thrilled to be back on Hollyoaks as the formidable Grace Black. “It’s like coming back home,” she gushes. “I came back in February and now we’re nearly in July! It’s ridiculous, but I’ve come home.”

Fans have noticed Grace’s new look, with her slicked-back hair making an impression. Wall reveals, “I like it because it’s less call time in makeup. But don’t worry, the big hair will be returning. It’s 100% coming back. We just need to find the right time…”

Grace’s time in prison saw her climbing the ranks. Wall recalls a memorable scene: “One of the prison guards was painting Grace’s nails. How brilliant is that!”

Grace and Freddie Roscoe’s unexpected relationship left viewers surprised. “Me and Charlie [Clapham] were trying to come up with a backstory ourselves,” Wall admits. “We thought maybe they were put in the same prison at some point. We have no idea! But we know who wears the trousers in that relationship, let’s be honest…”

Grace’s dramatic wedding escape, where she stabbed herself, was a shocker. Wall describes it as “so utterly Grace. She could have threatened to do it to somebody else, but she didn’t hurt anyone but herself.”

This week, Grace moves in with Cindy Cunningham, despite their complicated history. “Grace should be really angry at Cindy,” Wall notes. “She did the whole bank robbery heist to help Cindy out and to save the market. She went to prison for them, but they sold the market anyway. At the end of the day, Grace has got bigger fish to fry.”

Grace’s fierce side reemerges as she puts Mercedes in danger and threatens Warren’s children. “Oh yeah, the bad Grace is back, which I think everyone wanted,” Wall says. “She’s fighting to get Curtis out of care, so she’s got no fear, so watch out.”

Looking ahead, Wall teases, “There are a few adventures coming up, and a few dramas that take a turn for the worst…”

Working with Charlie Clapham is a delight for Wall. “It’s like working with my best mate! We have such a good relationship and make each other laugh a lot. Bless him, he bought me some menopausal cooling teas because I kept getting really bad flushes on set. Is that not the cutest thing ever?”
