Corrie’s Tyrone Faces New Drama with Alina’s Return
Tyrone Dobbs’ life seems to be taking a turn for the dramatic on Coronation Street. “Tyrone’s found himself happily married now with Fiz after a 20-year relationship and two girls,” reveals actor Alan Halsall, speaking to Eastieoaks.com, hinting at the calm before the storm. But in true Corrie fashion, this peace won’t last long.
The return of Alina is set to stir up trouble. “Alina coming back is definitely going to throw a spanner in the works,” Halsall shares. Adding to the tension is the arrival of Tyrone’s mother, Cassie, who “is going to have an opinion on everything,” alongside the ever-opinionated Evelyn and Tyrone’s daughters.

There’s more drama brewing for Hope, played by the “fantastic” Bella Flanagan. “There’s always that side to Hope that she could go off at any point. You know, a box of matches or something could trigger it,” Halsall teases, emphasizing the unpredictable nature of her character.
The dynamics between Hope and Ruby add another layer to the storyline. “Seeing those two actresses and the way that dynamic’s working has brought a whole new dynamic to the way we’re working,” says Halsall, highlighting the sisters’ interactions that range from bickering to bonding, creating “real domestic kind of bliss, but it’s not bliss.”

Alina’s comeback is bound to shake things up further, especially with a potential child in tow. “That child might have something to do with Tyrone. That’s really going to upset a lot of people, not just Tyrone,” Halsall hints, leaving fans on edge about how Tyrone will handle this bombshell.
Reflecting on Alina’s departure, Halsall notes, “The writers were so clever in the way that she left, kind of rubbing her stomach, having an orange juice,” sparking fan speculation that her return would bring complications for Tyrone. And now, after a “nice long gap,” Alina’s reappearance promises a “brilliant storyline.”
Halsall also recalls the challenges of filming the affair storyline during COVID-19, “working at two meters,” making Alina’s return and their ability to work “naturally” a welcome change. “It’s nice to have her back,” Halsall concludes, setting the stage for more Corrie chaos.
Stay tuned to see how Tyrone navigates the stormy waters ahead.
