Fresh from the summer break, Doctors is back and Paige (Genevieve Lewis) is ecstatic when Bear (Dex Lee) invites her for a lunch meeting, convinced she’s about to be offered a permanent contract. However, Kirsty (Kiruna Stamell) isn’t so sure…

The Mill is about to be rocked by another bombshell as Paige’s optimism is swiftly dashed. Believing she’s in for a bright future, Paige is left reeling when Bear reveals that the lunch is actually her exit interview! Not the news she was expecting, Paige is furious, especially after overhearing Zara telling Graham that staffing was sorted. Confused and cornered, Bear is blindsided by Paige’s accusations, unaware of any such plans.

In a fit of rage, Paige contacts her Uncle Charlie, who runs the recruitment agency supplying temps to The Mill, and lets him know just how poorly she’s been treated. The fallout is immediate — a livid Uncle Charlie threatens to pull his agency’s services, leaving Bear scrambling to calm the situation. With the pressure mounting, Bear quickly fills Zara in on their “Paige problem.” But with tensions at an all-time high, can they find a way to smooth things over?

At lunch, tensions simmer as Paige joins Zara, Michelle, and Kirsty at the Icon. Paige doesn’t hold back, accusing Zara of trying to butter her up to keep Uncle Charlie’s temps onside. Zara, prepared for the confrontation, tries to manage the situation while Michelle and Kirsty watch with glee. But the tables turn when Paige reveals that the person who’s treated her best is none other than Graham! Michelle’s ill-timed question about Sid leaves Paige rushing to the bathroom in tears, but after some consoling from Michelle, Paige finds her anger towards Sid empowering.

As lunch comes to an end, Zara takes the opportunity to ask Paige about her future, and together with Michelle and Kirsty, they manage to lift Paige’s spirits. By the time they return to The Mill, Paige is ready to say her goodbyes, with a newfound confidence. She tells Sid she’s in control of her own future now, leaving him and the rest of the staff to wonder just what’s next for the fiery young temp.
