In a devastating week on the cobbles, Billy Mayhew is thrown into turmoil when a hangover leads to more than just a missing phone. Waking up in a daze, Billy realises his mobile, filled with precious memories, is gone. Desperate to find it, he retraces his steps, unaware that disaster is unfolding back home.
As Billy hunts for his phone, Summer and Bernie are horrified to find Paul unresponsive on the sofa, struggling to breathe. With Billy unreachable, they’re left in a race against time to keep Paul alive, frantically calling an ambulance. But with Paul’s condition rapidly deteriorating, the question looms – will Billy return in time to say his final goodbye?
The heartache doesn’t end there. When Billy finally returns, he’s confronted with the stark reality of life without Paul, as he wakes to see Paul’s empty wheelchair. The family is left shattered, and tensions run high as they grapple with their grief. With emotions at breaking point, can they come together to honour Paul with the send-off he deserves?
