Ste is set for an emotional return to Hollyoaks this week as he’s discharged from hospital and placed in Leela’s care. However, Ste’s desperate to get back to his old life and return to the flat where he last saw James – but best mate Tony drops a bombshell: the house has been sold.
Back at the Lomaxes, Ste’s homecoming reception is anything but warm. Leela and Joel try to justify their decision to sell the house, explaining they needed the money to pay for Lucas’s solicitor and Leah’s university fees. But Ste is furious, lashing out and blaming Leela for Lucas being locked up and Leah’s pregnancy.
Things take a darker turn when Ste attempts to take baby James for a walk to Price Slice. When Rex offers a hand, Ste’s anger explodes, accusing him and his family of being responsible for James’ death. But in a shocking twist, Rex’s words about redemption strike a chord with Ste, leading to an emotional breakdown as he sobs in Rex’s arms.
Meanwhile, Frankie has her suspicions after seeing Dillon with baby James. Convinced she’s uncovered a secret, she confronts Dillon, believing he’s the father…
