Coronation Street air these scenes from Sunday 27th October on ITV1 (Sunday episode airing due to no episode being shown on Friday 25th)

t’s all heating up in Weatherfield as Lisa is pulled from Joel’s murder case – and she’s fuming! “This case was personal for her in so many ways,” shares Vicky Myers, who plays the fiery detective. “Not only was Joel abusing his position of trust, but the nature of his crimes – especially against women – cuts deep for Lisa. She’s always prided herself on fighting for women and educating men against violence. And to top it off, Joel worked with Lisa, which makes the betrayal even worse. She’s absolutely furious.”

But now that Kit’s leading the charge, things are getting tense at the station. “Oh, of course Kit’s not taking advice from her!” Vicky shares. “He’s stubborn, headstrong, confident – and Lisa can see a lot of herself in him. They clash because they’re so alike, but there’s an unspoken respect there too. She knows he has potential, even if he’s a bit arrogant!”

Despite their friction, Lisa’s trust issues run deeper. “Honestly, Lisa doesn’t trust anyone – not Kit, not Carla, and sometimes not even herself. She’s been through so much, emotionally and professionally, and the cracks are starting to show.”

With the stakes rising and Lisa hiding bruises of her own, could she have a dark secret too? “Absolutely!” Vicky teases. “There’s more going on with Lisa than meets the eye, and she’s lied about it to Betsy. But being caught off-guard in her own bathroom has raised a lot of red flags. Something’s definitely not adding up!”

And with Carla under scrutiny as well, could their secrets be connected? “Both Lisa and Carla are definitely hiding things,” Vicky hints. “No one is ever 100% honest in Weatherfield, and Lisa’s facing a real conflict between her career and her personal feelings.”

Fans are also buzzing about a possible romance for Lisa, but is she ready for love after all she’s been through? “Lisa’s deeply broken and terrified of opening up,” Vicky admits. “She’s afraid to love again after losing Becky so tragically. But who knows? Maybe those feelings will become too strong to fight.”

One thing’s for sure, this storyline is far from over, and Vicky couldn’t be more excited about where it’s heading. “It’s going to be a rocky ride – nothing’s ever plain sailing in Weatherfield!”
