Nicola’s suspicions are growing as Carl’s recent mood begins to make sense. After noticing Carl’s distress is linked to Tom, Nicola tries to get him to open up. However, Carl clams up when Tom suddenly arrives back at the house, leaving Nicola increasingly frustrated.
Taking matters into her own hands, Nicola calls Jimmy, revealing Carl’s mood is connected to Tom. Her intrigue deepens when she spots a discarded radio-controlled car in the bin, prompting her to question Carl further. Despite getting some information, Carl remains terrified of telling the whole truth.
Things come to a head when Nicola confronts Tom, and Jimmy becomes alarmed by the revelations. As Tom scrambles to cover up his lies, Nicola threatens him with the police. But can Tom weasel his way out of the accusations, or will his lies finally catch up with him?
