Ruby’s world is rocked when her estranged daughter, Steph, arrives unexpectedly. Struggling to reconnect, Ruby is stunned to learn Steph had been in contact with Helen. As their conversation heats up, Steph’s harsh words about her troubled childhood push Ruby over the edge, leading to an impulsive slap that she instantly regrets. Despite her apologies, Steph storms off, accusing Ruby of never truly caring.

Meanwhile, Caleb confides in Chas, admitting he can’t bear the thought of losing Steph again. Later, Caleb finds Ruby in denial, insisting Steph’s childhood wasn’t as bad as her daughter claims. Caleb reassures her that Steph will come around, but senses Ruby is holding something back.
The following day, Ruby and Caleb are shocked to spot Steph leaving the B&B with Ross. Caleb questions her intentions and then surprises Steph with an offer to work together at the Depot. Hesitantly, Steph agrees to go for a coffee with Ruby to try to patch things up. But just as progress seems possible, everything falls apart when Ruby’s estranged father, Anthony, arrives—revealing Steph set up the meeting. Hurt and blindsided, Ruby storms out, unable to face him.

Caleb steps in to confront Anthony, who pleads his case and presents a mysterious box for Ruby. Sensing Anthony’s sincerity, Caleb reluctantly accepts the gift. But will Ruby let Caleb convince her to hear her father out, or will the past drive an even deeper wedge between her and Steph?
