Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV1 at 8pm
New spoilers for Coronation Street have revealed danger for Bertie (Rufus Morgan-Smith) and crash horror for Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney), but this is far from the only trouble that locals have faced on the roads of Weatherfield during 2024.
Back in February, Simon Barlow (Alex Bain)’s drinking led to danger, which put Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) in the hospital. Simon found drinking in pubs and spending time with his mates more entertaining than work, which left Nick (Ben Price) and Leanne (Jane Danson) worried that he was drinking too much. However, when Toyah (Georgia Taylor) asked Simon to take Sam to a chess competition, she had no idea he had been drinking and driving—the result of drinking and an icy patch led to a crash that left Simon in a panic.
In the aftermath, Hope found Sam unconscious on the floor at school which led to him being rushed to hospital.

It wasn’t that much later when trouble struck much closer to home for Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson), Sarah Barlow (Tina O’Brien) and Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon).
In return for getting rid of Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths), Adam made a deal that he would help get Harvey (Will Mellor) out of prison. When Adam went back on his deal with the local hard man, he was the one left in serious danger. Trying to make his presence felt, Harvey put a hit on Damon and Adam where it hurts, targeting Sarah and Bethany. Adam took the full force of the impact after pushing Sarah and Bethany out of the way in time.
Thankfully, Adam made a full recovery.

DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) found herself in just as much danger recently at the hands of a hit-and-run driver. During flashbacks to the night Joel Deering (Calum Lill) died, Lisa was shown walking through the Weatherfield Precinct when a mugging took place. Brandishing her ASP proved no deterrent, as the getaway car drove straight into her.

As Bertie runs across the street without looking, Debbie slams on her brakes which causes more tension between Daniel and Debbie. Daniel and Bethany make up, but it’s short-lived when Bethany realises that Jenny is wearing her top. How will Daniel explain this to Bethany? Kevin warns Daniel to stay away from Debbie, but as Daniel gets heated, Jenny and Daisy intervene and order him to go home. As Daisy heads out of the pub, she’s shocked to see Debbie’s car speeding past and suddenly there’s a deafening crash.
Later, With the car crash a mystery, Debbie learns her burnt-out car was found, and her insurance is invalid due to the keys being left in the car. Shona confesses to Adam about her injured arm, a result of being almost run over by a car linked to Debbie’s stolen car. Craig sees Shona out of the station and tells Kit the case is far from closed. When Kit overhears Craig on the phone double checking CCTV footage, he kills the call and asserts that he’s in charge of the case.
