Neighbours continues to air on Prime Video at 7am from Monday – Thursday

As ‘Neighbours’ celebrates an incredible 40 years on screen, Eastieoaks.com sat down with some of Ramsay Street’s finest to take a trip down memory lane reflecting on their biggest highlights. Rebekah Elmaloglou, Tim Kano, and Majella Davis shared their standout moments from their time in Erinsborough, and they did not disappoint.

Rebekah Elmaloglou, best known as Terese Willis since 2013, struggled to narrow it down, admitting: ‘Oh my gosh, there’s so many! The breast cancer storyline, the alcoholism storyline, Josh’s death. But if I had to choose, the alcoholic storyline where Terese falls off the Lassiter’s roof and Paul saves her – that’s probably at the top.’

That infamous rooftop moment remains a talking point amongst fans, with Rebekah laughing: ‘A lot’s happened on that roof!’

Tim Kano, who plays Leo Tanaka, had his own favourites, recalling: ‘I definitely loved the Leo and Terese love affair, and the siege where the gunman takes hostages in Harold’s. That was a really cool day to shoot!’

For Majella Davis, David’s death had a profound impact: ‘That was such a pivotal moment for me and for the cast as well. It’s definitely in my top ones. The miscarriage storyline was also one of my all-time favourites. It’s something we don’t often talk about or see in media, so I’m really glad that Neighbours told that story.’

Rebekah praised Majella’s performance in the emotionally charged scenes, saying: ‘For you, I reckon that was just amazing, performance-wise.’

As Neighbours continues to deliver compelling drama, it’s clear the past four decades have given fans and actors alike plenty of unforgettable moments. Here’s to the next 40 years of Ramsay Street magic!
