Bex Fowler is set to make an emotional return to Walford as she jets back home to mourn the tragic death of her dad, Martin.

The former Albert Square resident, played by Jasmine Armfield, has spent years travelling the world, but the heartbreaking news of Martin’s passing brings her back to be with her mum, Sonia, and the rest of the Fowler clan. However, things have changed in her absence – Sonia has served time for murder, and Bex now has a newborn sister to meet.
Jasmine, who originally left the BBC soap in 2020, is reprising her role for a short but significant stint as the Fowler family says a final goodbye to Martin.
Speaking about her return, Jasmine said: ‘It’s wonderful to be back at EastEnders and to see so many familiar faces. It’s amazing for me to come home, but for Bex, it’s an absolutely devastating time because she’s lost her dad. She’s grown up a lot, having spent the past few years travelling, so we’re going to see a much more mature and grown-up version of Bex this time around.’

EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw also shared his excitement about Bex’s comeback, saying: ‘We’re delighted to welcome Jasmine home to EastEnders as part of Martin’s farewell. There’s no way that Bex would miss her dad’s funeral, and Sonia needs her eldest daughter more than ever. It’s been five years in which Bex has gone out into the world, so she’ll come back with renewed wisdom and experience.’
EastEnders continues tomorrow at 7.30pm on BBC One
