Sharon is left horrified when she realises Bianca knows her secret. Determined to take control, she prepares to come clean—only for circumstances to stop her. Later, as she confides in Zack, she’s unaware that someone is eavesdropping. The mystery is soon solved when Barney later confesses to Zack that he overheard everything.
Zack is desperate to stop Barney from spilling Sharon’s secret and confronts him at Harry’s Barn. But when Barney’s old injury from The Vic explosion starts bleeding, Zack rushes him to hospital. A discussion about blood types sparks Zack’s suspicions, and after speaking with a nurse, he drops a bombshell on Nicola—demanding to know if he is Barney’s father.
Nicola finally admits the truth—Zack is Barney’s biological father. Reeling from the revelation, Zack heads back to drown his sorrows, but his day takes an even worse turn when he receives an unsettling phone call from Whitney.
Determined to keep a lid on things, Nicola plays her trump card against Sharon, confident she’s gained control. To prove the family is united, she invites Sharon and Zack to a tense dinner at Walford East with her and Teddy.
