Get ready to shout at your screens once again – Celebrity Catchphrase is back on ITV1 and STV, celebrating its landmark 10th series this Sunday, 23rd March, at 7pm. And it’s kicking off with some serious star power that’s sure to get the whole family buzzing faster than Mr Chips himself.

Stephen Mulhern returns to preside over the proceedings, as three famous faces try their best to “say what they see” – and win big for charity in the process.

First up in episode one, it’s a soap showdown for the ages, as EastEnders royalty Adam Woodyatt (aka Ian Beale) squares up against Coronation Street favourite Jack P. Shepherd (David Platt to millions), with Loose Women panellist and reality star Olivia Attwood rounding out the trio.

Speaking ahead of the series launch, Stephen teased: “Just when you thought it was safe to enter the living room without your mum, dad, grandparents, kids or pets shouting random catchphrases at the telly… we’re back, baby! Celebrity Catchphrase is one of those timeless shows that unites all the family. I always have far too much fun hosting it, so I’m delighted to be back.”

And it’s not just the first episode packing a punch. Across the 10-episode run, a glittering mix of TV favourites, musicians, comedians and journalists will be putting their quick-thinking skills to the test. Here’s who you’ll see trying to crack those animated picture puzzles each week:

  • Ep 1 – Adam Woodyatt, Olivia Attwood and Jack P. Shepherd
  • Ep 2 – Tyler West, Alex Jones and Ricky Wilson
  • Ep 3 – Jake Wood, Nadine Coyle and Rick Edwards
  • Ep 4 – Axel Blake, Siân Welby and Richard Madeley
  • Ep 5 – Claire Richards, Ben Bailey Smith and Lisa Riley
  • Ep 6 – Kerry Godliman, Mark Charnock and Janet Street-Porter
  • Ep 7 – Mark Chapman, Sue Cleaver and Asim Chaudhry
  • Ep 8 – Darren Harriott, Laura Jackson and Will Mellor
  • Ep 9 – Mel Blatt, Michelle Visage and Seann Walsh
  • Ep 10 – Jeremy Vine, Charlie Hedges and Luke Kempner

And if one weekly fix isn’t enough, ITV1 and STV are also airing classic Celebrity Catchphrase episodes weekdays at 2pm, perfect for a lunchtime brain teaser. You can also catch them anytime on ITVX.

The show’s return comes hot on the heels of ITV confirming that an 11th series is already in the pipeline – a testament to Celebrity Catchphrase’s staying power, almost 40 years after it first appeared on our screens.
