The party’s winding down. A smitten Paul watches over Thomas as he falls asleep, deciding it’s a good time to make his departure. Bemused by Terese’s lack of contact, Paul is surprised to find her already back at the Penthouse. Opting at first not to reveal her fleeting presence at the party, Terese eventually comes clean to Paul, admitting how confronting the sight of Paul, Chelsea and Thomas together as a family was for her. A guilty Paul does his best to allay Terese’s insecurities and, eager to make things easier for Terese, and himself, suggests Terese bond more with Thomas. Terese agrees to try it, and Paul convinces Chelsea to allow Thomas to have a sleepover with him and Terese that night. Things quickly go awry, however, when Thomas becomes feverish and inconsolable, forcing Paul to call Chelsea to come to the rescue. Terese’s growing feeling of being an outsider to the new family is compounded when Chelsea weasels a photo of herself, Thomas and Paul into the Penthouse.

Feeling bad that Leo is back in the spotlight for Sebastian’s murder, Cara expresses her desire to help clear Leo’s name to Remi, just like she did with Fallon. Remi encourages Cara to leave it to the police, but an unsatisfied Cara queries Andrew and is dismayed to learn the police aren’t looking into other suspects, such as Sebastian’s drug network. Later, Cara happens across Sebastian’s dealer Jordan and her cronies carrying out a shady exchange and, recognising who Jordan is from her distinctive tattoo, snaps some covert photos of the group. Remi discovers Cara’s surveillance and warns her she’s playing with fire, but softens when Cara admits how good and useful helping other people makes her feel. Remi makes Cara promise her she won’t do anything else stupid, but the following day, it’s Remi who finds herself in peril when Jordan and her cronies violently confront her, mistaking her for Cara.

Feeling like the sands have shifted between her and Andrew, Wendy confides to Aaron that she’s finding it difficult to reconnect with her husband and voices her fear about them growing apart. With all the stress caused by the situation with Sadie, Aaron suggests Wendy find a fun and relaxing way to bond with Andrew. Heeding Aaron’s advice, Wendy arranges some romantic alone time with Andrew, which proves the perfect environment for the two to find their groove again. With harmony restored, the couple are well and truly content, until Andrew realises he may have mistakenly thrown out Wendy’s prized ‘Forever’ jewellery collection during her Murrayville absence…
