Big celebrations, big shocks and even bigger heartbreaks hit Walford next week as Lauren and Peter’s big day turns to chaos…
1. Lauren and Peter’s engagement party descends into drama
It’s meant to be a joyous day for Lauren and Peter as they gear up to celebrate their engagement, but tensions run high at their final midwife check-up when Lauren receives worrying news about her pregnancy. To make matters worse, Peter dashes off mid-appointment to take a call, leaving Lauren fuming. When a fault at The Albert forces Kathy to relocate the party to Harry’s Barn, chaos follows as Gina ropes in Mo, Jean, and Nigel to help – but the results are far from slick. Things get even worse when an awkward comment from Ian sends Lauren spiralling, and she seeks refuge away from the celebrations. Kathy steps in to rally her spirits, but just as Lauren returns to the party, Cindy makes a shocking entrance…

2. Harry’s messy morning leads to more Mitchell drama
After a heavy night, Harry wakes up at the Arches, much to Billy’s horror. Dragging him to Walford East in an attempt to sober him up, Billy’s plan quickly unravels when Teddy shows up and tensions erupt. Later, Billy makes a heartfelt attempt to mend fences with Harry over a cuppa in the café – but will the fractured Mitchell family find a way forward?
3. Ross and Vicki clash over Joel’s behaviour
At No.43, Vicki and Ross’s efforts to job hunt are derailed by Joel’s obsession with his phone, and tensions bubble over. Vicki tries to play peacemaker but Ross insists he doesn’t need help parenting, leaving Vicki hurt. As the day wears on, however, cooler heads prevail and the pair manage to reconcile – but is there more trouble brewing?

4. Zack issues a dangerous warning to Nicola
Vicki warns Zack to stay out of Mitchell business, but Zack can’t resist getting involved. Ignoring her advice, he confronts Nicola directly and issues a chilling threat.
5. Gina grows suspicious about Harry’s secret
Amid the chaos of the party, Gina’s growing concern for Harry deepens. After a drunken Harry causes a stir, Jay raises the alarm with Nicola and Teddy. Gina tries to press Harry for answers later in the café, but he remains frustratingly tight-lipped. What exactly is Harry hiding – and how much danger is he in?
6. Concern grows for Nigel after worrying behaviour
As Walford gears up for V.E. Day celebrations, alarm bells start ringing when Nigel becomes increasingly confused, believing it’s 1995 rather than 2025. Jean, worried about her old friend, plans to have a serious talk with him but loses her nerve and instead ropes Phil into helping her organise a last-minute street party to lift Nigel’s spirits.

EastEnders airs these scenes from Monday May 5th on BBC One
