Since the special stand-alone episode of EastEnders featuring Lauren Branning and Peter Beale receiving their newborn son, Jimmy’s diagnosis in a storyline that sees the Walford based soap work with Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).

During next week’s visits Walford based soap, EastEnders viewers will see things are tense between Lauren and Peter as Peter struggles and Lauren is overwhelmed but the well-wishes in the Square. With things taking a turn for the worse when Peter blames Lauren for Jimmy’s health leading to Lauren heading to The Vic and Harry’s Bar where Linda Carter and Gina Knight refuse to serve her. Finally, Peter attempts to bond with his newborn son.

At Number 25, Cindy Beale helps her son, Peter when Lauren is a no-show having stayed out all evening. Later, Lauren finds Peter in the cafe to explain, but he is in no mood for talking heading to the hospital for an appointment with Jimmy.

Lauren and Honey Mitchell have a heart-to-heart on Jimmy’s diagnosis, whilst Peter at the hospital is full of hope, however, its not long before Lauren and Peter once again come to blows as Peter breaks up with Lauren.

However, towards the end of the episode at Number 45, Kathy Cotton persuades Peter to make amends with Lauren. Back at home, Lauren and Peter put aside their differences until Peter grows concerned when it’s clear that Lauren is hiding something.

With Peter heading to The Vic and asking Johnny Carter’s advice, it’s not long until someone overhears and this time it’s Honey Mitchell who goes and informs Lauren who heads to Number 45 and officially ends things with Peter. But will this be the last time the pair end things or will can they move past this?

EastEnders airs on BBC1 Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm as well as airing on BBCi Player from 6am on the days it airs.
