There’s trouble brewing in Coronation Street next week as Aadi Alahan’s attempt to shake off his sensible image spirals into a night of chaos, confusion and danger that could change lives forever.
Deciding it’s time to live a little, Aadi throws an impromptu party at number 7 after Bernie brands the younger residents of Weatherfield “boring”. But what begins as a midsummer celebration quickly turns into a nightmare.
Troubled Brody crashes the gathering with a sinister agenda, and LSD. Hoping to make some easy cash, Brody starts dealing the drug at the party, leaving Aadi fuming. The teen wastes no time booting Brody out, but the damage may already be done.
Intrigued and encouraged by Summer, who confesses she’s tried it in America, Aadi prepares three spiked drinks for himself, Summer, and Nina. But when he’s called away by a disturbance, someone else unwittingly consumes his cup. Meanwhile, Lauren, feeling unwell, leaves the party alone – and soon finds herself in serious danger.
Back on the street, Summer and Nina, still under the influence, stumble into the closed café. But the sound of sirens sends them into a panic, something has gone terribly wrong, and they’re about to find out just how bad things have become.
As the teens come down and reality kicks in, the devastating consequences of the night begin to unfold. But with so many secrets and shifting truths, will the full story ever come to light?
The midsummer party episode airs on Monday June 23rd at 8pm on ITV1 and STV.
