It’s tense in The Vic as Linda tells Elaine she wants to sell her half of The Vic. The situation worsens when the police arrive regarding last week’s incident. Elaine tries to convince Linda to rethink her decision, but a row breaks out between the pair and Linda retreats to the café to speak with George who encourages Linda to see the situation from Elaine’s point of view. Elaine spies their interaction from The Vic and jumps to the conclusion that the pair are plotting behind her back. Later, Elaine is deflated when her meeting with the bank doesn’t go as planned and tries to rope Johnny into being her silent partner, but he refuses. After an emotional day, Elaine loses it in The Vic and orders all the customers out before getting into a furious row with Linda, but the stress of events takes its toll and Elaine collapses, much to Johnny and Linda’s horror…
Vicki and Ross’ happiness is short-lived when Zack informs them that Sharon is evicting them from No.43 for failing to repay their debt. Vicki attempts to get an advance from Bernie but ends up getting fired. In retaliation, Vicki steals Bernie’s laptop after her suspicions are raised and later blackmails her at No.43 when it is revealed that Bernie has been stealing money from the Panesar business accounts.
Stacey arrives home with Hope and Arthur, much to Jean and Mo’s delight. The family bring Stacey up to speed with recent events, but it’s clear Stacey is hiding something when she acts shifty after Kat arrives. Kat questions Stacey on her behaviour, but Stacey covers that she’s missing Lily. Elsewhere, Johnny and Felix agree to move in together, much to Callum and Linda’s surprise.
