Cara suspects Lydia was involved in Byron’s assault. Andrew, although unconvinced, agrees to question Lydia. Lydia vehemently denies any involvement and Andrew warns Cara they can’t pursue Lydia without anything solid. Cara later sees Lydia in heated conversation with a young man who reveals himself to be Lydia’s son, Jesse. When she gets a glimpse of his bruised and cut knuckles, Cara lands on a solid theory of what’s happened. She gives Lydia one last chance to face up to what she’s done, as it’s the only way to help her troubled son. Lydia comes forward with Jesse and with the truth final out in the open, Andrew is able to charge Lydia.

Saskia lavishes attention on Byron, much to his growing discomfort. When he responds much more favourably to Sadie’s attention, Saskia is privately wounded. Byron, hopeful for a romantic reunion, thanks Sadie for her care and company, only for Sadie to friendzone him. When Saskia later overhears Sadie relaying this event to Max and Holly, she interjects with a damning remark, prompting Max to tell his little sister to stay in her lane. When Sadie is later at work, preparing to pamper Nicolette, Saskia finds an outlet for her animosity, secretly tampering with Sadie’s facial products, causing Nicolette’s skin to burn.

When Holly expresses excitement at Andrew’s news that he has been invited to a party with his birth family, Wendy is determined to attend with him, but knows it’ll be a challenge to get the time off work. Later at school, Wendy reprimands Saskia for being late to class and Saskia feels embarrassed in front of her classmates. When Jane thanks Wendy for help holding the fort, Wendy accepts Jane’s thanks and asks for time off. But Wendy is needed at school for a VCE art assessment and an attached exhibition night. Finding the earrings she gifted Saskia in the bin, Wendy confronts her. Saskia claims the earrings were taken by students and fears it will be the start of a bullying campaign. Wendy is forced to cast her doubts about Saskia aside as Jane assures Saskia that Erinsborough High has a zero-tolerance policy towards bullies. Andrew is chatting with Holly when a frazzled Wendy interrupts to explain she won’t be able to attend Andrew’s family do, and although Andrew understands she has responsibilities to honour, he can’t help being a little disappointed.
