Andrew and Holly are rattled by their close moment at the V-Bar. While Holly tries to convince herself nothing inappropriate happened, Andrew is wary and suggests they need to cool it. Both parties focus on their respective relationships, determined to make their partners their focus and mitigate a growing sense of guilt. Holly supports Max in the aftermath of Saskia’s games with Byron, while Andrew focuses on Wendy and the twenty-first bash they’re planning for Sadie. As Sadie’s bestie, Holly is a key part in the planning, meaning her and Andrew’s worlds can’t stay entirely apart. These two share a magnetic pull. Can they resist it?
Saskia pushes her flirtation game with Byron too far. Fed up, he tells Max everything, which leads the trio to an awkward conversation about boundaries. Shocked at how Saskia has behaved and how much she’s hidden from him, Max downloads to Byron. They chalk her mistake up to an immature teenage moment, and Saskia is devastated as she overhears them talking this way about her. Wendy finds Saskia crying at school and graciously offers her support. Surprisingly, Saskia finds herself warming up to the idea of having Wendy on her side.
Karl’s still frustrated with Susan over her unsupportive response to his plans to resign from Eirini. When Terese comes back from her holiday, she admits she’s disappointed to lose Karl but she understands his decision. Karl is looking ahead and hopes to secure a new position with the council as Seniors Advisor. Susan remains unsettled by the pace of all this change. Colton, too, readies to leave Eirini, heading back to Queensland after losing the sweepstakes for Aaron’s heart. The boys share a bittersweet goodbye and Colton leaves wishing they could have been more.
Krista, Leo and Abigail return from Rome in family bliss. The vow renewal has left the couple more in love than ever, but there’s something troubling Krista… Leo finds a pregnancy test among Krista’s belongings and he’s over the moon. He thinks the timing is perfect for them to extend their family. Little does he know, his joy only makes Krista’s dilemma harder. Krista confides in Terese that she isn’t sure if she’s ready to have another baby. Her devastating experience with Hope still hangs over her. As terrible as it sounds, Krista hopes the test is negative.
