Elsewhere this week, a verbal and physical homophobic attack on Eve leaves Callum in shock as his own dad, Jonno, is revealed to be behind it, leaving Callum with no option but to arrest him. After Jonno protests his innocence and blames his friend, Callum is forced to consider: is my known homophobic father telling the truth?
With Eve adamant that Jonno is also to blame for the attack, Suki arrives in support as the pair start to thaw toward one another following their fallout.
Also, it’s a journey back to the past for Phil and Nigel as a pilgrimage through the countryside sees them unearth a time capsule buried with Grant when the trio were kids. The pair have a heart-to-heart when Nigel leads them to the exact spot – even more shocking are the contents of the capsule.
Finally, after the shooting last week, there’s a gun to dispose of, and for once, the excuse “I threw it in the canal” isn’t being used as the easy way out. When Ravi is pulled in for questioning by the police, he opts to use Jack as his alibi for the night of the shooting. Jack tells his colleagues that he was trying to recruit Ravi as an informant and later agrees to get rid of the gun with Ravi, but Jack has a change of heart when DS Spencer arrives.
Nobody in Walford can simply do a task without making it 100 times more complicated and dangerous than it should be. With Jack telling Ravi he is “disposing” of the gun today, that should be straightforward, except Jack sneaks into No. 5A to plant the gun, but Priya returns home and Jack is forced to hide…
